Simon Asencio et Vincent Godeau
Schaufenster
The illustrator and graphic designer Vincent Godeau and the performer and dancer Simon Asencio spent ten days in the window space Schaufenster in a cohabitation, between strategy and tactic.
“The tactic, however, is disinterested : it does not store, but it remains at the stage of a fragmented production, exploratory, conducted case-by-case, so spontaneously, following opportunities, and giving the lead to a spirit of game and not of ownership.”
Michel de Certeau, The Practice of Everyday Life
At the beginning of September, the illustrator and graphic designer Vincent Godeau and the performer and dancer Simon Asencio spent ten days in the window space Schaufenster in a cohabitation, between strategy and tactic. How to share the space, the material and the time ? When are we becoming the Ant ? When are we preferring to be the Cricket ? Freedom belongs to the ones that think that singing is already working.
With a toolbox and one thousand sheets of paper as their only material, Vincent Godeau and dancer Simon Asencio created an evolving display of forms and informal experimentations. Every evening, as night fell, a picture was taken and uploaded on an Internet page and archived for 24 hours.
